The Invisible Mount loudspeakers from PRO include a full marine grade multiply enclosure that is designed to be built into standard 2”x4” stud construction. Even though the im models are less than 4” deep, they are high-output models using professional components and may be combined with speakers from the ai and sm loudspeakers in surround applications.
The enclosures are 14” wide to fit within standard 16” on-center stud spacing and come with built-in mounting points and all necessary hardware. The im enclosures may be installed within the wall prior to surfacing to give the drywall or plaster contractor an edge to finish to or may be installed in retrofit installations by simply cutting the requisite hole spanning two studs. Once the loudspeaker is attached to the studs, a grille subpanel secures from the front, trimming out the installation and providing a structure on which to mount the frameless, less than 0.2” thick grille cover. The perforated grille cover is paintable or may be covered in cloth to match any wall surface.
The finished appearance of im models matches that of the ic and iw models so that they may be combined in harmony within a single room.
